Police are looking for a man who stabbed a woman in the third such incident in the same street in Utrecht but as yet police are not sure if the attacks are related.
The incident happened around midnight on Monday at the Balijebrug in the Rivierenwijk district of the city. The 20-year-old victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Monday’s attack comes in the wake of two other similar incidents which took place in Balijestraat, a stone’s throw from the bridge. Last Wednesday a 23-year-old woman was stabbed and robbed of her bag, while late on Friday another 23-year-old woman was attacked with a knife.
The perpetrator, who made off on a granny bike, is described as being around 25, with a dark beard and moustache. Police said the incidents may be related but are not yet speaking of a serial attacker.
